The Consumer Complaints Council (CCC) reviewed the advertisement and considered the complaint. The CCC noted that the advertisement depicts a scene in which a character is referred to as `Chintu Chor,’ used as part of the storyline to highlight Godrej Safe Lockers. The CCC observed that the name `Chintu Chor’ in the advertisement does not associate any actual individual with criminal behaviour, nor does it intend to ridicule or humiliate real people. Based on these observations, the CCC did not find the advertisement objectionable and concluded that it is not in contravention of the ASCI Code. The complaint was NOT UPHELD.
