Claim – “Lower Fat Intake- helps in less calorie consumption, every meal”. The CCC discussed that the claim has been reviewed in light of the advertiser’s response, which references scientific research demonstrating that the product absorbs less oil during cooking compared to other oils. This reduced absorption leads to lower fat and calorie intake in meals where the product is used. The claim is relative in nature and applies specifically to cooking scenarios involving oil. Based on this assessment, the CCC concluded that the claim, “Lower Fat Intake- helps in less calorie consumption, every meal”, is not objectionable. The product packaging claim is not in contravention of Chapter I of the ASCI Code. This complaint was NOT UPHELD.
