The Consumer Complaints Council (CCC) viewed the advertisement and considered the complaint. The complaint relates to a Durex condom advertisement shown during family viewing. The CCC was of the view that in the context of the product being promoted, the advertisement does not contain any vulgar scenes which are likely, in the light of generally prevailing standards of decency to cause grave and widespread offence. The advertisement is not in contravention of the ASCI Code. This complaint was NOT UPHELD.
